Bachelor/ette Party Weekend Getaway!
Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful for the bride, groom and anyone else involved. But some of the highlights and one of the only chances you get to let loose right before you walk down the aisle is during the bachelor/ette party! Usually, the bachelor/ette party is planned and coordinated by the Maid of Honor and Best Man but of course, anyone can take the responsibility. In this article, I will be sharing some do’s and don’t and timeline of when things should be getting done. If you’re planning a destination away from home, definitely start planning at least 3-4 months ahead of time. This will allow ample time for research and reservations. Start with 4 + Months before…. Asking the bride or groom if she is up for a weekend getaway and if so, what are some of her preferred places or activities. Does she want a combined Bachelor and Bachelorette party or does she wants to do things separately from her future husband? although you may know the bride/groom pretty well, doesn’t mean you will always get certain preferences correct. It’s always best to ask because it is, after all, their day. 3-4 Months before…. Pick your dates. Without giving away too many details, make sure that the bride/groom will be available on these dates. You can even get their partners involved. Have them make sure that the dates are requested off from work or have them find out what dates are free. Create a guest list I suggest keeping the weekend trip as small as possible. Traveling with a large group can get a little hectic and overwhelming for everyone. Set a budget Make sure you communicate your planned budget with the rest of group. It is best to find out what everyone is comfortable paying before making any solid plans. Research possible destinations. Do give everyone in the group some options because not everyone is going to be happy. Do offer options that will, of course, make the bride happy. Decide on the destination Create the itinerary and decide on a theme if you want one. Share the itinerary and costs with everyone in the group and make sure that everyone agrees on the price to pay. Keep everything organized so it’s easy to follow and read. This will ensure that there is absolutely no confusion about anything. 4 weeks before…. Buy all of your party swag! Sashes Tiara “Bride to be” and wedding party shirts Decorations ( including the penis straws, it’s not a bachelorette party without the penis straws) 1-2 Weeks before…. Call hotel, restaurants and confirm all of the reservations. Confirm plan with the rest of the group. Everyone should have paid their share, if not kindly remind them to do so. Night before…. Rest up Day of… Wake up bright and early. Prepare your bride for the festivities. Get to your destination safely and have a BLAST!
