Not everyone that is planning a wedding or a party wants to hire a planner and others, just don’t know that there is help like that out there. The main misconception about hiring a planner is what their duties really entail. I have listed 5 of some of the important things I planner will help you with. 1. Bringing your vision to life.
As an event planner, I will not make up your mind for you, unless of course, you WANT me to. As an event planner, I am here to listen to your ideas, brainstorm along with you and come up with some creative ideas to make your day special and the way YOU want it to be. I am here to bring YOUR vision to life! 2. Eliminate your stress.
If you have ever planned an event before, you know that it is full of stress. Everyone wants to tell you what you should and should not do and after a bit of going back and forth, you may get tired and just give up. I am here to help eliminate all of that stress so that you can not only see your vision be brought to life but so that you can enjoy your special day. After all, we are having a party to have fun, celebrate and enjoy! 3. Do all of the legwork for you.
Event planners are here to eliminate as much stress as they possibly can and that includes doing all of the research for you. I would research venues, entertainers/DJ’s, photographers, photo booths, etc. Of course, you can be as involved as you would like, but if you don’t want anything to do with the vendor selection, then you don’t have to do it. You will, of course, have the final say on everything. 4. Get you the best deals
This is another important one. As mentioned above, there’s a lot of research that comes along with planning an event. Which means A)tons stress and B)a lot of time taken away from family, work or anything else that you have going on in your life. Getting the best deals on vendors is not only about doing your research, but it is also about who you know, and what types of relationships you are building. Knowing a particular vendor may increase the chances of negotiating and getting a discounted rate which is great for your wallet! 5. Backup plan(s).
Can’t stress enough how important it is to have a backup or multiple backup plans available. For a wedding especially, it is very important to have backup plans because things often times do go wrong.It may not be something huge, but it will be something and as your event planner it is very important for me to stay in control and keep the event moving as smooth as possible no matter what.
